“With three kids to look after it can be difficult to keep them entertained. As a family we often go to the park or go swimming to keep us all fit and healthy.” Huddersfield Giants prop Eorl Crabtree
Keeping up a regular fitness regime can be a difficult with so many distractions but it is important.
One of the great things about keeping in good shape is that there are no age limits; you can be involved in one way or another from the age of 1 to 100. Family fitness sessions are a great idea for everyone. These don’t have to be rigorous training sessions as any form of exercise is beneficial for your families’ health.
Ideas for family exercise:
- Swimming- This can be a fun way of introducing your children to exercise and spending some special family time together. Swimming is a very pro-active sport that uses a wide range of muscle groups.
- Go to the park- This is the most cost effective way of getting exercise as it is absolutely free. Take a rugby ball to pass about and you won’t even know you’re running around.
